Katherine Billings is a veteran director/actor/writer/producer/dramaturge/teacher
and coach. She has extensive professional theatre/film/television credits. Katherine
has directed/written/produced projects that aired on Public Broadcasting, winning
eight international awards including the American Film Festival, the U.S. Film
Festival, and the International C.I.N.E. Her films have been chosen for screening
at the American Film Festival and are part of the permanent archives collection
of film at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. She has produced and edited
two films for the Women's Directing Project at the American Film Institute.
Katherine's London and USA regional acting credits include King Lear, Romeo
& Juliet, Richard II, Richard III, Merchant of Venice, Recruiting Officer,
Three Sisters and the Kingshead premiere of Sam Shepard's Red Cross & Chicago.
Her roles for film/television include Hill Street Blues, Welcome Home Roxy Charmichael,
and the New Love American Style. Katherine was educated by the theatre and film
schools of Northwestern University, U.C.L.A (graduating Magna Cum Laude) and
the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) in England.
